Lux Metal PL1 Plastic Polish Hard Cutting Compound is a cutting and polishing compound formulated specifically for plastic, acrylic and polycarbonate. It represents the first stage of the Plastic Polish system and is intended for surfaces showing scratches, dullness, wear marks, surface yellowing or reduced transparency.

PL1 is the most corrective compound in the range and is designed for situations where a stronger restorative action is required than that offered by a light polish or finishing compound.

How It Works and Benefits

The abrasive formula of PL1 Hard helps correct visible surface imperfections and improve the overall appearance of the material. With an abrasion level of 4/5 and a polishing rating of 2/5, it is particularly suited to the cutting and preparation stage of the restoration process.

This product is not intended to provide the final high-gloss finish. Instead, it prepares the surface for subsequent polishing stages. After using PL1, it is recommended to continue with PL2 Fine and then PL3 Super Fine to progressively enhance gloss, clarity and overall finish quality.

Before use on delicate, coated, painted or unknown materials, always test on a small inconspicuous area.

Directions for Use

Apply a small amount of product directly onto the surface or onto a suitable cloth or polishing pad. Work evenly across the area until scratches, dullness and surface imperfections are reduced. Remove any residue with a clean, dry cloth.

For best results, use PL1 as the first stage of the restoration process, followed by PL2 Fine to further improve the surface and PL3 Super Fine for the final finishing stage.

Avoid excessive pressure and regularly check progress during application.
